October Updates

I've been swamped with deadlines recently, so I realize I've been little lax in updates. This is what I've been up to:

Madman's Daughter tag line!
The Madman's Daughter now officially has a tagline, and it's super moody and wonderful. "In the darkest places, even love is deadly." Don't you just want to go "oooh!" and shiver deliciously after reading that?

Madman's Daughter release party
The Madman's Daughter book release is officially less than four months away! (Official date: January 29, 2013). The release party will be, of course, at the famous Highland Books in Brevard, NC, aka my family's bookstore. More information, including exact date/time, to come.

Madman's Daughter #2
I sent my draft of the second Madman's Daughter book, which takes place in creepy Victorian London and contains serial killers, masquerade balls, and a cute puppy, to my editor last month and should be getting the edit letter for this very soon. Official title will be announce soonish!

The Cage
I've been working night and day on the The Cage, my YA sci-fi that will be coming out in 2014, and am just about finished with the second draft. It's a weird book, ya'll. Awesomely weird.

Review copies
I've gotten lots of requests for Madman's Daughter ARCs from bloggers and reviewers, and I'm so excited for all the enthusiasm! Thanks, everyone! I think at least some hardcopy ARCs have shipped already, but as far as I know it's not up yet on Edelweiss for digital review copies. So if you requested an ARC and haven't heard anything, sit tight. I'll let you know when it's up on Edelweiss.
