Updates, Events & YALL Fest!

November snuck up on me, but I'm so glad it's here. This is the first year I've really fallen in love with the fall season, and there's so much to be excited about.

Thursday, Nov 7, 7pm: I'll be speaking at Malaprop's Bookstore in Asheville NC with fellow YA authors Gwenda Bond (THE WOKEN GODS), Meg Spooner (SKYLARK), and April Tucholke (BETWEEN THE DEVIL AND THE DEEP BLUE SEA). The theme is "Girls & Monsters" since all our books feature female main characters with hints of the paranormal.

Saturday, Nov 9: Will you be at YALL Fest this weekend in Charleston, SC? This one-day free YA festival features some of the top writers out there. Check out the lineup, it's amazing! I'll be there volunteering, so if you'll be in town, keep and eye out for me in a "volunteer" shirt and say hello!

Saturday, Nov 30, 9-11am: The day after Black Friday is "Small Business Saturday," and I'll be volunteering at my local indie bookstore, Malaprop's, making YA book recommendations. Lots of great local authors will be there on this day to support shopping local.

The second book in the Madman's Daughter series comes out January 28, less than three months away! I have some great pre-order contests & giveaway in the works closer to pub date, as well as a full schedule of events in TX, NC, SC, GA, VA, and DC, so stay tuned.

The Madman's Daughter paperback edition comes out December 23, and is available for preorder now from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and IndieBound. It includes a never-before-seen short story, a recipe for "Balthazar's Madly Delicious Bear Paw Cookies," and an interview with the author and book club discussion guide.
